Clive Faulkner

Chief Executive Officer

My job is to enable everyone else to do their job! That makes me very lucky because I have the most fantastic team; they're enthusiastic, creative and dedicated. That means I can put a lot of time into looking for new ways to make Montgomeryshire a better place for wildlife.

Resources Department

Membership, communications, finance, health and safety... this department looks after much of the day to day business of the Trust

Head of Resources

I ensure that all the Trust’s operational systems are in place, including human resources, health and safety and finance - without which our vital conservation work would grind to a halt. I also enjoy managing the office and the Resources Team.

Membership Officer

I look after the Trust's existing members and help recruit new ones! I also manage the Trust’s shop in Welshpool, for which I enjoy sourcing local, wildlife-inspired products.

Communications Officer

I have the enviable job of talking about what the Trust gets up to, through our social media, on our website, in our membership magazine, Otter, or in our Annual Review; the team do such wonderful work, I’m never short of something to say! I'm also the Trust's Carbon Lead.

HR, Volunteer and H&S Officer

My role is to ensure the whole MWT team is healthy and happy by fulfilling the Trust's human resources and health & safety functions, ensuring records are kept up to date and policy requirements are met. I also coordinate activities and admin for all volunteers (except those at Dyfi Wildlife Centre).

Living Landscapes

The Living Landscapes team are championing wildlife across the county with ground-breaking conservation projects and the vital habitat management of our 18 nature reserves

I’m fortunate to manage our talented, passionate Living Landscapes team. Whether supporting them with the delivery of exciting conservation projects or developing new initiatives, both on our reserves and in the wider landscape, I help ensure we’re always working towards a wildlife-rich Montgomeryshire.

Tammy Stretton

Conservation Officer

I deliver species- and habitat-based projects, both on and off our nature reserves, and provide advice on all things fluffy, feathery, colourful and slimy. I am also the Trust’s technical whizz-kid.

Reserves Officer

I've got the exciting job of looking after the Trust's nature reserves for the benefit of wildlife and people. I have a dedicated volunteer work crew to help me achieve our work.

Conservation Officer

I work on various conservation projects across the Trust, including on Grasslands, a partnership with Gregynog Hall and on river restoration. I'm also a beaver advisor, a bird ringer and a waxcap fungi enthusiast!

Conservation Officer

Working on a wide variety of living landscapes projects, I liaise with partners, landowners, and communities to deliver outcomes that benefit habitats and species across Montgomeryshire.

Trainee Farm Liaison Officer

Primarily supporting MWT's Grassland Communities project, I engage with local farmers to help them improve the condition and resilience of neutral grassland, while raising awareness of the climate and biodiversity crisis in the community.

Our Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve is also home to our climate positive visitor centre, shop and cafe, the Dyfi Wildlife Centre, as well as the world-famous Dyfi Osprey Project

Dyfi Projects Manager

I'm responsible for managing Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve-funded projects for the Trust, particularly focused on the conservation of ospreys and our visitor facilities.

Dyfi Wildlife Centre Manager

I manage all aspects of the centre daily, and oversee volunteer coordination, development and recruitment at the Dyfi Wildlife Centre throughout the year. I also engage with supporters through our social media channels.

Catering and Events Manager, Dyfi Wildlife Centre

I run the cafe, maintain high food safety standards, make cake and then feed people the cake to keep them happy! I also oversee catering operations and am the main contact for room hire and events at Dyfi Wildlife Centre.

People & Wildlife

This department works on projects designed to improve people's physical and mental health and wellbeing through reconnecting them with nature - for the benefit of people and wildlife

I'm responsible for looking at the long-term sustainable development of a wide range of projects across the Trust, as well as for the delivery of people engagement & community projects. I'm also developing the nature recovery network, bringing wildlife to more people and more people to wildlife, for the benefit of all.

Wild Skills Wild Spaces Project Manager

My role is to manage and support the Wild Skills Wild Spaces team. Working in partnership with Powys Teaching Health Board, we  deliver 12-week NHS Ecotherapy programmes and are dedicated to getting people out into nature to boost their mental wellbeing.

I support my team in the running of ecotherapy sessions to help bring individuals closer to the outdoors and to nature for improved physical and mental wellbeing.

It’s my job to run ecotherapy sessions for young people in the local area, with the help of the rest of the WSWS team. My focus is to encourage young people to engage with nature and wildlife and feel inspired to want to protect it.

I assist with the hands-on aspects of a range of activities for our ecotherapy sessions, which include managing habitat across our nature reserves, practical conservation tasks and wildlife monitoring. We help people come closer to nature by recognising and nurturing local wildlife.

Wild Skills Wild Spaces Admin & Communications Officer

I act as the eyes and ears of the Wild Skills Wild Spaces project, working with referral partners and signposting interested parties to our ecotherapy sessions. I’m also lucky enough to head up our communications, helping coordinate attendance of current participants and champion our achievements on social media. When I get time, I support the team with delivery on the ground.
