About the event

Former MWT President Chris Townsend, who worked as a GP in Mid Wales for 25 years, is a lifelong fan of natural history, particularly ornithology. Chris has been fortunate to travel widely over the years, often seeking out bird-themed destinations and activities (much to the 'surprise' of his "long-suffering non-birder wife", Maggie). This talk will focus on the birds of the Outer Hebrides - the series of islands off the west coast of Scotland, which host many special bird species - and specifically the exciting spring migration period.

Everyone is welcome, and the entrance fee of £3 includes the talk (free for under 18s), light refreshments, and the opportunity to chat with like-minded folk and the speakers themselves.  We usually have a raffle, so please bring a prize if you are able to (£1 per ticket). We look forward to seeing you there!
